It helps that Tracy is a master of playing faux-guitar on a keyboard, but yeh, it really is that good.

Hm, I wonder how this differs from Torch.  Maybe the emphasis here is for hard rock/metal?

Will have to wait and see.  In any case, I'll probably get it.  Indiginus is one of the few companies that hits it out of the park for me with every instrument.  Very musical libraries -- and sold cheaply.  I don't know how Tracy does it.

+1
He seems to be making instruments from a musician's perspective and with quality/ease of use.......how can anyone resist that with such great prices to boot?

Every time I check out this part of the forum I end up spending money!
Sold!
Heck the song alone is worth the price of admission!
Of the Guitar libraries that I have I am missing a Tele.

Hoping there will be a way to demo this.  I hate to make judgments based on audio samples, and while the ones provided sound pretty good, I think there's too much reverb to hear what the VI really sounds like.  More audio demos, at least, would be welcome!

Cheers,
Eddie

My 6 year old A-Pro 800 is exhibiting problems and I have just splashed out on a Native Instruments S61 keyboard, so timing is bad but I hope there will be cash in the money box for this one.

I am also hoping I will be able to make a custom template that uses the light guide to match the Keyboard zones on this type of instrument. There is plenty on making custom templates for parameter knobs but I have not found anything on keyboard zones yet.

Exactly. When you follow the cursor  moves  on the left side of the screen you see there's a bit to know-how before
you can make those rather convincing sounds. I'm not a keyboard player, nor guitarist, but still I dare to say that keyboard-created guitar parts are an artform in itself.

Its working out quite well. I have tried it with the othe Indiginus strum instruments and sure enough, even though these are not "supported" the keyboard zones are correctly illuminated by the light guide. This makes a big difference. I am sure this new library will be no different. I will buy tomorrow and will confirm then.

Of course the "unsupported" instruments don't appear in the browser and you have to load them in "edit mode" but no big deal.

so far the only issue with light guide I have had is with Kirk Hunter stuff (there will be a seperate thread on that.)

Wow, that's not even 5 MB! Makes you think where sampling came from and how difficult it must have been to capture sound. Amazing what they could do with only 5 megs.

I now have Renegade and WOW! As others have said its a big step up from Torch and great fun straight out of the box. Looking at some of the chord options etc it looks like you can also get in pretty deep. There are no issues by passing all the internal effects and amps and puting it through your favourite amp sim.

I know I am banging on a bit about the Komplete Kontrol keyboard but the light guide key mapping really enhances the experience, you know immediatly where your up strokes, down strokes and keyswitches are. As the instrument is not supported there are no encoder mapings but I think, once I have learnt how to do it I will make a template for Renegade a high priority.

I'm very impressed, may open up the wallet. Also impressed with Solid State symphony. I'm embarrassed to admit I have never run across this company or their products before--don't know where I've been...
I think Renegade is similar to Orange Tree's excellent Stratosphere, so having the Strat and the Tele would be a killer combo. Wonder how their slide guitars compare to Orange Tree's which I also have. The key is both company's make the instrument so  playable in various ways. I'll get on board with these, I think.
