Indiginus Torch Electric Guitar

I know there are other fans of Indiginus' Acoustic Guitar and Mountain Dulcimer for Kontakt on this forum. Well Indiginus has come up with a electric guitar.

Its only $50. I have Orangetree's Evolution Strawberry but I will probably add Torch to my arsenal, as any guitarist will tell you can't have too many guitars.

So far there is just one video demo, They are promising more demos on YouTube soon.

Sounds good, too. This might be a suitable, less-expensive alternative to OTS Evolution if it's equally expressive. Let us know how it compares, Glyn. I already have EEG and can't really justify adding yet another guitar lib - unless, of course, it's really cool.

Will do but it will be a couple of weeks before I buy it. Comparing Orange Tree Steel strings and Indiginus Acoustic Guitar Collection there is no doubt the steel strings is the more versatile product (and should be given the price difference), but AGC offers a bunch of different guitar sounds and the two libraries compliment each other. I am hoping this will be the case with the electric guitars.

I find the Indiginus "strum maker live" function very immediate and intuitive for making strumming patterns without resorting to a step sequencer type of application.  One note plays the up stroke, another the down stroke and velocity switches between articualtions.) Steel Strings has the edge when it comes to articulations and chord detection, but is less immediate.

I find the Mountain Dulcimer very usable. As a (lapsed) dulcimer player I see its limitations in the melody + drone mode of playing. I use it for strummed chords and its got a nice bright sound.

I tried the Orange Tree strum system and no matter what I did it sounded programmed and fake. After an hour of this I realized that I could have just miked up a real guitar in 5 minutes and had better results with less effort.
