Initialization File / cakewalk.ini
Is it possible to remove some keyboard shortcuts from the initialization file / cakewalk.ini ? Example : remove keyboard shortcut F2 ( track ) and E (Global FX Toggle ) I need certain keyboard shortcuts for other things while i am using platinum, in my search i think its possible but i need some help to remove them properly.

KPerry Bind the shortcuts to "Do Nothing" in Edit\Preferences
Just tried to bind : Bypass All Audio Effects > in edit prefences to !!!+%%%+*** however the keyboard shortcut E still toggles it on and off ? I need E to do nothing in platinum ! Don't think your method will work ! Thanks anyways

Search for F2 using the button popup and press F2 when it appears.

I will tomorrow although I need to unbind F2 so in order for me to do that I need to know what it is currently binded to then rebind that something else so F2 does nothing . So your saying a edit / preferences > keyboard shortcuts > pop up button search will display what F2 is globally binded to ? I think F2 is similar to the enter button Thanks

Yep - the button to click is actually called "Locate Key". Hit that, press F2 on the keyboard and...on mine, it says [Unassigned], but (now I think about it), it defaults to the Windows default where F2 means rename (so if you have a track or bus or soft synth (in synth rack) selected and press F2, it puts the track/bus/soft synth name field into edit mode. Binding it to DO Nothing stops this behaviour (just checked).

Don't mean to be a pain but could you give me the steps you take as to what you do to bind a keyboard shortcut to nothing ......? Please I will try again in a couple hours just woke up , if I sort before you have the time I will let you know . Thanks
