Input Pan?

I can't get my head around this. Let's say I have an acoustic guitar track which is panned to the left at 35%. I send 50% of that track to a reverb bus. In the bus are two pan controls, input and output. I can understand, and use frequently to output pan to send the reverb to the other side, but I don't understand where the input pan would be significant. UNLESS (I just thought of this) does a SEND go to the bus without the track's panning assignment? Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks!
Robert

There is a pan assignment for the fx send also.

Input pan on a reverb bus is only relevant if it's a true stereo reverb (e.g. Altiverb or Pristine Space), meaning the left and right sides are processed independently from one another. AFAIK, I don't believe any of SONAR's bundled reverbs are true stereo.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Hey, gustabo. I'm pretty proud that I attempted to squash your bug only twice b4 I realized what it was
I use Sonitus reverb which, if 'stereo' is selected, you can enter a width of the fx value. I assume that to be the spread across the field.

I guess I have some more reading to do to get a better understanding of the input pan control on a bus, and whether a sent signal is 'sent' after having ignored the track's pan assignment.

BTW, I didn't review my original post enuf. It should have read "...understand, and use frequently the output pan..."
