Install troubles

Greetings,
I am installing X2 Producer on a clean system. I have 3 internal drives. My wish is this. HD1 for OS, X2, programs etc. HD2 for audio (read/write etc.) and HD3 for samples and content from various programs.

Here is my confusion. I am only on the 1st setup file. It asks where you want VST's, Session Drummer (which I assume is the program and not samples) and stuff and I left things alone. "Cakewalk Content" I assigned to a different drive. Not sure what the content is so I figured it was probably samples or something. Then I let her rip. Well I am watching things install and I am seeing a ton of .wav files. There are several Session Drummer Files and Dimension Pro files. It is what appears to be samples and not just the program.

So how do I do this? Do I assign Session Drummer to the drive of my choice? Would that do anything to the program running within X2? And what about Dimension...it was not even on the list??? Lol
How do I install those samples to a different drive when it is not even listed?

Anyone have some clear install instructions for a guy like me? Something easy to follow for the 4 different X2 files? I am guessing the loops and one shots, actual dimension files etc. will be easier to follow and assign.

If it sounds a little noobish or more than you wish to get involved, please note that ANY comment in the right direction will be appreciated.
As always, thanks for the help.

Huh... that's weird. I wouldn't get too worried about it. You can always move the files later if the did indeed get installed on your C drive. I don't think DP gets installed until one of the later install bundles.

At the bottom of the page I'm linking to are links to descriptions of what the various installers contain. They are kind of vague but it might help... oh... and the main page is the install instructions:

    Cheers.

You can move those folders with the samples anywhere you would like.  You then have to change the search path in each associated synth to point to the new database location for any that you moved.

You may then also have to refresh the preset database, depending on the given synth.  If that is the case, each synth will have some sort of utility or simple button to perform a rebuilding of the sets of presets.

The above is a common thing for many, many people - at least once in their life.  Having to do the above steps is something you hopefully only have to do ONCE, ever, and the experience generally cures you of ever making that mistake again.

If you move Dim pro Multisamples after installation you have to edit the registry.
