Installation Advice?

I have made the plunge into X1 from Sonar 8.5.3. Any tips on installation? Should I remove 8.5.3 prior to installing X1a? BTW the downloads are killing me......sooooooooooooooooooooooo slow....

Is there anything new from 8.5.3 in the additional content file or the Dimension Pro expansion file?

Because I have a small SSD and I was concerned about what would happen when I uninstalled 8.5 later I decided to remove 8.5 first. I did an uninstall first on 8.5 and that went well. Then I did a restart. After starting up, from the Start - Run I typed in msconfig and went to the startup tab. I disabled everything and then did a restart. I then ran each exe file  that was downloaded, that will extract all the files needed and put them in there proper folder. Then install in the order of the download list. I did a full install. After the install was complete I put in the update.
I then went into msconfig and turned all the items I had turned off. One more restart and it was good for me.
