Installation of Dim Pro 1.5 expansion pack Proteus 2000 - My Dim Pro registration is toast

Hi - I have been a long-time Cakewalk user (20+ years).  I own and had fully functioning Sonar X1c Producer Edition, along with a fully functioning Dim Pro 1.5 - both 32 and 64 bit versions of everything.

I couldn't help myself (and didn't want to), and I bought one of the Dim Pro expansion packs - Proteus 2000, and also purchased the upgrade (bless your hearts Bakers, I am on a fixed income from disability) to take me to X1 Producer Edition Expanded.  And to round it all off, I also bought the upgrade to the full version of Rapture.

I installed both all three products.  Installations were clean, through the completion of entry and submission of the registration codes for both Rapture and for X1 Expanded.  This was NOT the case for the Proteus 2000 expansion pack for Dim Pro.  First of all, looking at my registrations in the My Account section of the Cakewalk site, it shows 'Out of Serial Numbers' for the Proteus 2000 Expansion pack for Dim Pro.  I did see that of rouse prior to attempting to installing it, but figured that the worst that would happen is that the expansion pack would not work until I got a valid serial number from tech support.

Instead. when I fired up Dimension Pro, to check on the success/failure of my installation of the Proteus 2000 expansion pack, it immediately showed the 'Complete Registration: D-Pro' dialog box.  It did have my valid and previously working Dim Pro Serial number, but it wanted me to again enter a valid Dim Pro registration code.  I dug up my valid and previously working Dim Pro registration code, and entered it into the Registration Code text box - by the way, I did fire up Dim Pro in Admin mode - to avoid that glitch.  After pasting in my valid registration code and clicking on 'Complete', Dim Pro displayed a message box telling me that the registration code was invalid, and that Dim Pro would cease to work after 28 days.

Please let me know how to resolve whatever issue or issues are causing this problem as soon as possible.  I am getting my entire back fused in about 6 weeks, and I am desperately attempting to complete as many recording projects as possible prior to the surgery.  There is a long recovery following the 6-hour operation, and I am quite concerned over potential problems with nerves leading to my hands - so since I have been playing for 48 years, these next few weeks are extremely important to me.

Thanks - sorry for the length of this post - I hope I have explained things adequately.

Hey - I contacted Cakewalk Tech Support, and they gave me a different Dim-Pro 1.5 Registration Code, and it worked just peachy keen, so all is well.  I have no idea why I had to go through all of that, but if it's working, that's all I need to know - THANKS tech support!

A once again VERY happy long-time (we'll go with permanent, as I haven't had any need to even LOOK at any other competitive products in more than 20 years).  Yes there are some silly things and small annoyances, but for the money, I absolutely am ASTOUNDED at the product, its capabilities, flexibility, ability to work seamlessly with plug-ins, and what really was an amazing amount of money invested by the bakers at the complete UI redesign in X1.  I was a programmer for 38 years, and most companies simply do not invest money in UI redesign like Cakewalk did, as they have a hard time justifying the cost for what they see as simply a transparent release with no functionality added.  Cakewalk's decision to do X1 was money well spent, for the long haul it will attract a wider user base wanting a simpler means of capturing and editing audio.

    A VERY happy Bob B.
