The update had nothing to do with Dim Pro. Why are you downloading it again. There's over 7 GIG of samples

Same here - 3C showed Dim Pro as an update.  So I did (I must admit, Dim Pro doesn't seem to have been updated since England had a half-decent cricket team).

Anyway - same happened to me, the install hung for about half an hour. So I quit the install, went back in to 3C and installed again, this time successfully with a reasonably short install time.  It works Ok, as far as I can see (or hear).

Thanks jdf I did same thing yet it was a no go for me. For the time wasted on DP I will try to install main update 1st then try to install DP again later.

Hi Red4Con1 - I'd be interested to know if the aborted install left the original DPro still working. I installed the main Platinum update first, but I can't see that would affect DPro, especially if the update is just updated samples (?),

After my hung-install, I contemplated a rollback - never done that before, but just went for the second attempt at install.

    Anyway - good luck

Sorry I didn't know as I have an existing installation of Dim Pro and didn't use CCC to install it so it doesn't show updates.

As a matter of interest I downloaded and installed Dim Pro despite having had an existing installation for many years. The installer found my redirected Multisample folders so only updated files.

The update to Dimension is just the installer. It basically unifies the installer for all languages and I believe fixes some issues with registration. However if you already have it installed there is no need to download it again.
The same applies to sound center.

    Noel,
Yesterday my Command Center had a yellow dot by Rapture, Dimension Pro, and Sonar Platinum (and assorted subcomponents). After updating (which went smoothly and quickly for each) all the dots are green. Next time a dot turns yellow, I'll know to look for another update.

If we skip the D Pro update this time, the dot will stay yellow and we lose the signal of dot turning color to signal that another  update becomes available later. Is there another signal in CC?

The "learn more" links that I followed for several of the updates led to generic pages about the products instead of to specific information about what is in each update. I'd suggest making the "learn more" links specific to the update history so we can make informed decisions about whether to update or not. For those who decide to wait, maybe add a "defer update" button to make the signal dot a new color (maybe blue) to remind us what has been deferred. When the next update becomes available the blue "deferred" dot could again change back to yellow as a signal to learn about the updates and decide whether to update or defer again.

Ran all other updates they all installed no problem. Ran DP update six hours later still no install. I will try delete DP installer and run thur 3C again. Or, run DP install outside of 3C.

Red4Con1 - as Noel says (see above) the update is just the installer;  so if it works already for you, you'll gain nothing from the update (if I understand correctly).

Does this update overcome the issue where you need to run DPro as admin?

The only time DimPro needs to run as admin is the first time when registering the product.

Would have been a useful piece of information to have several hours ago before wasting time on the download. It's hard to figure this out without some additional info especially when the version number is newer than what you have installed.

When I try to delete DP installer I found out I have a few instances running. After stopping them
I run installer outside of CC it ran thur without problem until it ask for the code I give it to them then they say no go.
I run inside CC and still at the end of the install it just hang there two and a half hours so far.
