Installing Dimension Pro And Sonar 8.5

Need help trouble shooting:

I purchased Dimension Pro as an upgrade from LE. I'm running studio 8.5.3 in 64 bit. The default installation was for the "program files (x86)" folder. That didn't work, error message: "failed to insert soft synth". I uninstalled and reinstalled in the regular "program files" folder. Again, same error message.

Should I uninstall LE?
Should I install in different folders?
Any help?

    When you install DimPro, one of the initial questions the installer asks is if you want to install the 32 bit or 64 bit version.  Which did you install?

    The 32 bit version should go under "Program Files (x86)" and the 64 bit version should go under "Program Files". Also make sure you install the updates: Dimension Pro Updates

    And are you running 32 bit or 64 bit Sonar?

    Silly question ... my Dim Pro installation DVD says Version 1.2 on it. Is the update at the link you posted above for version 1.2 or does it upgrade an older version to 1.2?

    DimPro is currently at v1.5 and that page has downloads for whatever version you have.

    Yeah, I saw the 1.5 update. I also read that it's not going so well. I think I'll just stick with what my DVD installed and call it good.
