Installing Sonar LE on a new computer when i forgot to uninstall on my old computer.

Hi Guys
I got my Sonar LE as part of the package when I bought my Roland FP - 7 keyboard in 2010.
I installed it on my very old computer which died recently and by now is buried in land fill. Unfortunately I neglected to uninstall the Sonar LE program before throwing my old computer in the trash.
I've loaded the Sonar LE program onto my new laptop but seem to be having trouble getting it working. (Specifically the record button is grayed out.) My question is. DO I HAVE TO RE-REGISTER now that I'd like to reinstall the Sonar LE program onto my new computer, in order for the new install on my new computer to work.
AND does the fact that I neglected to uninstall it on my old computer mean that I will have troubles reregistering it again?
Any assistance you could give me would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Pietro

There is no requirement to uninstall any Cakewalk product before installing it on another machine. If the product requires a serial number and registration code (most do) and the product has already been registered, the information should be stored in https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products. If the data is not there, it probably was lost during the migration to Single Sign On. Contact Cakewalk using https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Feedback to get the data added back to your account.

When you first used it you would have had to register with Cakewalk and they send you the numbers. If you didn't write them down somewhere it will now be a hassle.
OLder versions of Sonar only needed the 2 numers, serial and registration and you can install them forever as long as you are the only user.
Once you get the numbers from Cakewalk I would think about upgrading to Artist or better. X1 LE is a very pour version of Sonar. I got mine same as you from purchasing a Roland Keyboard.  Even Artist is a much much better version. X1 was buggy and the LE version comes with almost no VST's if your into using midi. It works fine for pure audio. But it gave me a real inexpensive pathway to upgrade, I got Sonar Studio for only $99 at that time.
