Installing Tascam uS122L with Vista

I'm having a problem installing my new Tascam 122L audio interface with a Vista OS machine.

I've downloaded the Vista driver from the (awful) Tascam website and got it unzipped. When I connect the (USB) 122L, Windows searches for and finds the driver. Starts to install but after a very short period stops and an error message pops up; 'refer to manufacturer'

I'm contacting Tascam support but knowing the inevitable delay in responding I'm hoping someone on the forum will have a solution to the problem.

    Cancelling my previous message.
    On downloading a 2nd time a 'set up' file appeared that hadn't come up on the original download. This successfull activated the Tascam installation procedure. Whew!
