Installing and Authorizing Komplete 8 to Komplete 9 upgrade.

I am assuming I just need to install stuff that is new or updated rather than install it all from scratch. How will that affect the authorization in Service Centre?

Are there any pitfalls to watch out for?

NB: neither version is Ultimate

    Glyn,

The installer will identify what is already installed and not install it.

How about a Komplete 7 to Komplete 9 Update?

I have mine sitting in the box waiting for all the other updates my offline DAW is scheduled to have.

    Thanks.

I'm running the Ultimate 8 to 9 install as I write.
I ran the Service Center thingy first (started at 6:45 this morning).
The 9 install seems to be "happy" with anything that was updated prior to the 9 install.
Its just after noon here so set some time aside...
Not sure on the 7 to 9 Mike, but probably not an issue.
I'll update on how the "authorization" goes.
Actually a little more "anxious" about the IK updates than NI.

re Mike's question about K7 to K9, I've just done this. No issues. The installer identified everything.

I still await the arrival of my K9 untimate upgrade, but had a question related to this thread, well kind of related.  Is the Kontak 5 library different than the kontak 4 library?  I realize that there are a whole lot of kontakt instruments in Komplete, but within the stock Kontakt 5 library is it different than the stock Kontakt 4 library?  Just trying to save a little space if possible.

    Yes and No.
There is no extra Kontent in the K5 library but the the NKIs have been updated for Maschine and they wont work in K4. The K4 libraries work fine in K5 and you can convert your existing libraries to K5 just by saving them, but be aware that if you do that they won't work in K4.
