Instrument Definition for Yamaha MO 6

I recently bought a used Yamaha MO6 and i am having trouble finding the instrument definition that goes with it for Producer 8.5.  I figure there are others that probably use the same method (maybe the motif series) but am not sure and was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.  I am ready to do the editing necessary to convert it to my synth but i am not sure where to start.

Thanks

I always wonder if because Sonar is Roland that they leave out Yamaha integration. If you used Cubase it would be fully supported.

What I would try is to use any Yamaha definition and see if it works. Yamaha sort of keeps to the same format from instrument to instrument.

anj, I have a MO8. When I couldn't find an instrument definition for it I tried using one for the more common Motif, which I knew had the same soundset. Sure enough, it's a near-perfect match. I think I found it on motifator.com, but if you can't find it there send me a PM and I'll email you a copy of mine.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Hi everyone.

Yeah, I know, it's an old thread but here it is anyway:

I have a similar problem with my M-Audio Axiom61 controller. I use SONAR 6 and 8.53/64bit. There's no instrument definition for this controller. Scott Garrigus in his books mentions that either M-Audio or Cakewalk have the definition file on their web site. I searched the whole Internet multiple times, let alone these two sites, to no avail.

Does this file exist at all or just table the whole thing altogether? Every and any comment welcome. Many people have the Axiom (all versions) and I don't understand how Cakewalk have systematically left the definitions out of otherwise their great DAW.

    Thanks, J.
