Instrument Definitions

I have a Yamaha MO8 and I cannot locate the instrument definitions for the MO8 in Sonar 8. It does not have the MO8 listed under the Yamaha.INS files. I cannot locate the INS file on the internet. Does anyone know where I can locate
a file for this without manually creating them as I am new to Sonar and recording.

Thanks,
Musician

I have been looking for the instrument definition file for the Yamaha MO8 since I got the synth last week.  No luck.  Has anyone found this?

That's Odd, I'd ask Yamaha, They certainly advertise it is working with Sonar see below from thier web page:

The MO series also features a DAW Remote Control Mode that allows full hands on control of popular DAW software including Sonar, Logic, Digital Performer and the full range of Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo products. You can control Volume, Pan, Solo, Mute, Track Arming, Track Select and many other track specific functions. The Transport controls on the MO series can be setup to stop, start and return to zero your DAW projects. You can even edit and control VST/AU plug-ins and see their parameters displayed in the LCD display of the MO. Total control over your DAW and SoftSynths from your hardware synth has never been easier.

If you mean the Motif 8, there is an INS file in the download section of cakewalknet.com.

I have a MO8 and use a Motif instrument definition file, as the patch layout is the same. I think I got it from motifator.com.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
