Intel DX58OG X58 mobo

I know it's not the latest/greatest - but would seem to fit my needs/budget.  I'll be using it with a MOTU 828 mkII, SP 8.5.3, <25 tracks - 5 VIs (Kontakt4/Sampletank/Amplitube/Jamstix).  Any guidance on whether this a good/neutral/bad idea would be appreciated.

TIA - B

I'm using an Intel DP67BG mb (LGA1155), and so far it's pretty stable. Don't recall any Win 7 crash..Sonar X1 been running fine with all the latest patch. Some other apps do hangs, but I doubt it's the mb.

Occasionally it does not boot (blue screen)..but a second boot works fine, but that is usually after I meddle with the network device setting (turn on/off), install/uninstall software, etc..
Intel's reference boards are probably not meant for heavy over clocking, although it does have some utility to do that, but I just left mine at the stock clock.

It comes with texas instrument's firewire port, do check it up on your mb, if you intend to use firewire. The manual did not state it, but some mb review did confirm it in my case.

I'm using an older DP35DP Intel motherboard (with a Q6600) and it's solid as a rock on Win 7 and Sonar X1.  It has a T.I. F/W chip.

    Thanks for the replies!

I ended up having to go with the Gigabyte GA-H67-A UD3H (TI chip set and good reviews as well) due to video considerations - hopefully it will work well!
