Intel Skull Canyon (Core i7 6770HQ) - Good portable DAW ?

Do you think this will be a good portable DAW setup ?

With 4 USB 3 ports (native ?) and no USB 2 port.

I have a 6700HQ it is ok as a DAW.  I don't use it exclusively as a DAW so it is not optimized.  My i5 Studio machine is actually better but its purpose built and optimized.  The only caution is whether or not your interface will work with USB 3 ports and/or have Win10 compatible drivers.

This would be very similar to using a laptop running a 6700HQ CPU.
(Same RAM/components sans the built-in display)

The X-factor is going to be DPC Latency.
Are the necessary parameters exposed in the BIOS (to allow low/consistent DPC Latency).
If so, you've got a winner...
If not, go with a custom mini-ITX machine... where you've got much more control over components.

Well, if he's building a desktop, he ought to just go with the regular 6700 and skip the HQ model.
