Gold medalist Kim Un-Guk, who set an Olympic record in 62-kilogram weightlifting, dutifully attributed his triumph to their leader Kim Jong Un.
"I won first place because the shining Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un gave me power and courage," he told reporters in London.
That's so scary. I find it hard to imagine what it must be like to live in such a place.
The only North Korean I ever knew managed to flee the country after being persecuted for being a vegetarian and therefore refusing to eat the national delicacies.
You can say what you like about him, but old Scoff No-Woof is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet.
