Interesting Melodyne update issue...

I received my Melodyne Editor upgrade (from 1.3 to 2.1) yesterday and installed with no problems.  However when trying to activate through the "activation assistant" that starts when the program is first opened I couldn't get past the 2nd screen (which asks for your "old" serial number).  I would put it in but it was rejected as not being the proper format.  No biggie...I just went to my account at the celemony site and activated from there.  But one anomaly I did notice when installing the program was that it didn't give a screen to pick the location of my ".dll" file as most installers do.  I would see the default location pass by quickly during install but it never stopped and offered a "browse for location" screen.  This meant that after install I had to locate the dll and copy it over to my VST folder.  Again, no biggie.  But the folks at Celemony say it should have stopped and offered me the "location" screen and they can't figure why it didn't.  Just something to watch for if you're upgrading your Melodyne.  YMMV.

    Hmmmmm.

I too did not get the prompt, but my 1.3 .dll was not in a "standard" place and it was overlaid with 2.1. Weird.

Celemony is a fast-growing company. It makes sense that they would seek help and advice from their neighbors a couple hundred kliks up the autobahn at NI.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
