Interesting Problems

Hi
I have jumped to windows 10 and a very smooth transition indeed.
I have dumped Fl Studio as It Is getting to cluttered for my liking and that seems the way with what Is happening to DAWs today.
Too many bells and whistles and not enough care put Into the design.
I personally think that Sonar Is going this way as well .
I also Have Mixcraft Pro 7.5 and this program Is simplicity In itself and lets you get on with your music without rocket science.
I have trouble In getting Sonar to recognize  IK Multimedia Synths and had to Integrate them Into Sampletank for them to show up and Sonic synth was a no go.
In Mixcraft everything shows up so easily and I think companies like Sonar should stop all of these crazy bells and whistles and concentrate on getting things simply working.
Sonar is good for me In the System exclusive department and that Is an advantage for my Tyros 5 .
Don't get me wrong i think Sonar is a great program, but takes a good while to get around.
Pro 53 native Instruments was a terrible thing to recognize and that Unwise Exe uninstaller would just freeze.
So Revo uninstaller which Is a free one did the job.
The people at Native Instruments are like politicians and never give a straight answer to a question.
"Oh we have discontinued Pro 53,"WHAT"!!! £100 down the drain" "Oh other people have got It working i think".
A great synth and no regard for what you have paid out or compensation.
They just want to sell rubbish loop stuff and push button music for Djs and that even sounds repetitive and boring.
Rant over!!! "They are turning people Into clones"  Whoops sorry definitely rant over!!!---We are the Robots!! AAAAH!!
If you want Pro 53 working In windows 10,you must have the original disc and codes and then It works a treat.
If you try and upgrade from there ,you have to go through the service centre and that Is where the trouble starts ,because they put an UNWISE EXE on you. Fm 8 works ok through the service centre because It Is 64 bit.

Korg works, Aturia works FL Studio Instruments work.Sampletank works,Additive Drums work,
Anyone with Tyros 5   Yem --ok
                                 EMC Styleworks-- ok
                                 One Man Band-- ok
                                  Mixmaster------ok
                                  Padmaker---ok
                                Yamaha Drivers   --ok

I am now going to take a system Image which you can do In Widows 10 and also make a boot disc--  For Just In Case World war 3 breaks out or Black Screen Death

all the best
John
Ps Windows 10 Is lightning fast compared with windows 7
The only shock you will get is your C drive will eat up the gigabytes for One month,or you can manually get rid of Old Windows to Free up 30gig. I will just wait the month out and Microsoft will do It for you automatically

Hope this helps a few people as the transition sounds nervy.
If you nearly know what you are doing, you will not look back---Time for another BUD!!

I'm a beta tester for Acoustica...and it's really good and stable program..but also
a lot of "fluff" in 3rd party stuff, and it's mediocre fluff at that...whereas Sonar gives
you "GOOD" 3rd party fluff...but Sonar is a lot more money...

If you want a "bare bones" but HIGHLY functional DAW for very little money ($60 non-
commercial) then Reaper is the ticket.

Once the bugs get worked out Harrison Mixbus 3 is a strong contender too.  It's the most
"analoque" sounding DAW out there. And also can be had for peanuts ($79 right now)
