It's much more than a CS. It seems a significantly advanced digital mixer that builds on their earler DXi32? not exactly sure of model number

That's some serious gear. Looks like a competitor to the Presonus mixer/interface.

I wouldn't mind if they put out a straight up control surface, building off the successful but discontinued BCx lines.

That was the DX3216.  I got lucky and got one that continued to work for more than a week or two.

In fact, it still works, though it's been moved to the live rehearsal hall.  We also still use it as our own personal in-ear monitor mixer for live shows.

The preamps and D/A converters in that thing were not so great for recording purposes, but it's nice enough to use in a live setting.

As I was reading about that mixer, they mentioned the P-16.  Did a little digging and came across THIS new Behringer product that will be extremely helpful for those of us who have to provide detailed monitor mixes to the talent...

Looks a lot like the Aviom...but it's gonna be much, much cheaper.

    Could be very cool.

I failed to see the price in the literature.  Where was it?

    (I am extremely interested.)

Looks like about $2500. They are still trying to hit the US RFI specs, so it is still in development, so the price may move. Still quite a bang for the buck if it says in that range. There is a NAMM YouTube with more info...

And then the real question begs....

How many will you have to unpackage before you get one that isn't DOA.

    And then....

Will that one work more than two weeks.  I've had a lot of Behringer stuff over the years, and only a handfull of it worked like it was supposed to.  Pretty hit and miss quality.

Just got the X32 last week.  So far so good.  Everything works like it's supposed to.  Will try to interface it with Sonar x1 this evening.  Will be using the x32's firewire 400 and just see if I can use the x32 as a CF.
BTW  I'm very impressed with the X32 so far.  I think Behringer is trying very hard to improve it's quality and their support staff has been very much on the ball.

    Hey FCPSound!

So how's this unit working in Sonar for you?  Just curious.  Saw it today in Guitar Center for the first time in person and it looked very impressive.  Any bugs or issues to report while using this in Sonar?
