Oh come on! who would have thought you would ever see SONAR source code and having them firing it up in Visual Studio. That's amazing

Can I borrow your magnifying glass? Seriously though, whose dumb idea was it to upload a video that is basically a boring Powerpoint slide with a tiny thumbnail video in the corner? Did they not think anyone would actually want to watch the thing?

IF you are interesting in looking closer, fullscreen actually helps. And yes I would definitely think they would think it would be interesting to see the Bakers working environment. It's not everyday you get to the backstage afterall. But alright, each to his own.

I've been programming since I was a teenager. Code doesn't excite me. Really solid, well designed applications excite me. Seeing what little bit Noel showed in the video is like being with a hawt chick that never takes her bra and panties off. Even that bony chick from 'The Fall' is more exciting than random snippets of SONAR code!!

Glad you enjoyed it. Cakewalk and Microsoft really seem to have a long history together, and Cakewalk is good at implementing the latest goodies from Microsoft. It will be interesting to see what else will come in the future.

The back of mind keeps telling me (besides other things), that Mel Gibson is going to sell Cakewalk to Microsoft. Be like Garage band for windows.

http://forum.cakewalk.com/m/tm.aspx?m=3603535 Noel and I had dinner after that presentation, and I asked him if he was uncomfortable showing source code to a group that likely included one or more competitors. He said nope, they routinely talk shop among themselves.

Well at least now I know who's driving all the changes in Sonar. It's not us. For me, most of those exciting advancements are met with a resounding, Meh. Maybe one day they'll start looking at the feature requests folks have been waiting on.
