Interesting things done while intoxicated.....
During my college days, my buddies & I (on a bored Fri/Sat night while drinking) would prank call or visit Psychics just for fun. Our quest was to find out what they actually knew about us without giving them any info. We found out that: 1) All of these Psychics, fortune-tellers, soothsayers, including the good respectable people on these psychic hot-lines didn't know (beforehand) that we won't be contributing for their services. 2) None of them could answer (properly) why they couldn't win the Lotto themselves. By this time, they basically had a few choice words for us and we were gently escorted out.

I drove way too much. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone for greatly endangering their lives during this young, stupid era of my life.

When ever I got drunk I always knew I was going to bump into a psyhcic beforehand and managed to avoid them. Strange thing was whenever I regained conciousness I was always in the same place I'd fell, therefore I'd even been able to avoid these people without physically moving. Drink must have given me special powers, no?

In college, my best friend and I were serenading the women's dorm late one night. (Really - Italian arias tended to get attention in that corner of the world). A friend of his invited him to come up and visit for a minute, so he climbed the wall (old building with space between bricks) and sat on her window sill. When he was done talking, he said, "How am I going to get down from here?" I told him I would catch him. So, he pushed off, and I did. We were both in superb physical condition in those days, so the strength and reflexes were up to it... if we'd been sober, one or both of us would probably have gotten hurt. There are days I marvel that I lived through my early 20s. I am dreading the day when my kids' wild streaks wake up... I'll be getting a lot of payback...

Russell, reminds me of one of my exploits. There was a girl I really liked so I decided to climb the exterior of the building to her 2nd story apartment and knock on her window and wake her up. She was none too happy about it, however we did hook up in the near future.

Last year I went out with my staff to a pub after a late job. I stood up, announced that I was headed to the bathroom. I walked face-first into the doorjamb, pulled back and apologized to it. Then turned and gave a double thumbs-up motion to everyone. A half-hour later, they were all scouring the miles-long "underground path" system for me as I never returned. I had walked/ staggered back to my office, turned off my computer, got my things, got on the subway and headed home. This was all pieced together the next day from my staff, wife, and the waitresses.

Marcos, right now the waitress has her "office" next door to our official building, but we are her primary source of income. And Beagle, my staff has 12 arms, 12 legs, but only 1/2 a brain... and most of it doesn't qualify as cool.

Just a few off the top of my head. Threatened Jose Canseco with bodily harm while standing within striking distance. Went water skiing at 2:00 a.m. with someone drunker than me driving the boat. Jumped from the sliding door of a VW bus at roughly 25 mph in attempt to tackle a friend walking down a sidewalk. Landed a little short. Asked an extemely large bouncer with no visable neck, "Who's gonna make me?", after he told me I had to leave the strip club. Turns out it was him all along. Agreed to sing Smoke on the Water with a band I'd never played with in front of a large crowd after roughly 8 shots of Tequila. Ended up mumbling "hey na blerk jang disker Burned the place to the ground" repeatedly through every verse and chorus until they just flat stopped the song. There are many more reasons I no longer drink. Randy

Interesting how I have forgotten most of my past until someone's story here reminds me of more dumb teenager stuff. We used to have a "game" where we would stand on the rear bumper of Gary's van holding the rear door handle and the roof gutter. His goal was to drive in a manner that would try to throw us off the van (this is in city streets). Also we would borrow our parent's car and take turns riding in the trunk while the driver would try to scare the crap out of you. On my turn in the trunk John was driving his parents brand new car like crazy and then I heard skidding and boom. Then we drove off all slow. When I got out we they explained that he had power-slid into a fire hydrant. There was a nice hole in the door where the hydrant's spout had penetrated it. We spent the next 1/2 hour trying to make up a good story including the nun with a baby carriage that pulled out in front of us and sent him on his way to confront the parents. We drove by later in Gary's van and there in the front yard was his dad wagging his finger at John. John's head was hanging low and the car door still had a big hole in it.

A decade ago, I wouldn't get in the car with a drunk driver (still won't). Instead, we stole someone's bicycle from a nearby cottage, along with a waterski tow-rope. Tied the bike to the trailer hitch of the drunk's car, and had him tow me home. I think we made it around 10'...

Those days make for some good stories, but I wouldn't go back for anything - being out of control is no longer amusing, and if I had all the money I spent fueling up and whooping it up... I am very thankful the good Lord saw fit to protect this idiot on many occasions. I had my parents upset enough without counting the big ones.

I'll plead the 5th for my drunk stories at the moment, but one from about ten years ago still cracks me up. I worked as a consultant with a couple in a well-known healthcare insurance's IT department. One weekend it was his turn to be on call for issues so he has the take-home laptop. We all went out for drinks and he got pretty wasted. On Monday his wife couldn't help telling us that after he got home he put the laptop on top of the toilet seat then forgot about it until later that night when he got up, lifted the laptop's cover (thinking it was the toilet seat cover) and proceed to relieve himself right into the laptop keyboard - lol! I never did hear how he explained the shorted-out laptop to the director... Hehe...

Okay. First day out of Air Force basic training at my next duty station, for tech school. Our first class wasn't for a couple days, so I sauntered over to the Airman's Club and proceeded to get smashed. Amazingly found my way back to the temporary quarters on an unfamiliar base. Thankfully, it was right across the street. Sometime after I passed out, the call of nature awoke me and I pinballed to the latrine. Returning to the room I passed another midnight peer on his way to the facility. Got to my room, hmm... I don't remember leaving the door open. Fell into bed asleep before I hit the sheets. A few minutes later, I'm shaken awake. "Hey, buddy, get out of my bed". We almost went to blows over the bed until he showed me his uniform which didn't have 'Fields' sewn above the pocket. It took me awhile to find my room.
