Interleave Issue opening X2 projects in Platinum

Enjoying Platinum so far! Has anyone else had issues opening projects made in X2 in Platinum?

What I'm seeing is a very small issue, that isn't too difficult to fix. What happens is that some of the mono tracks end up becoming stereo, while the VST2 effect on that track remain mono. So a mono sound suddenly becomes stereo with the L side being processed by the effect and the R not being processed... resulting in a delayed effect because the right side is not being delayed (plug in latency). In some cases I don't hear delayed effect because the latency of the plugin is so low, but if you analyze (or say, do a more extreme EQ setting, for example) you'll hear that only the left side is being processed. When looking at the channel strip, the track is still showing itself (the interleave button) to be mono so it shouldn't be stereo at all.

The solution is to simply toggle the interleave to stereo and then back to mono. Now the track is back to mono and behaving as it should. It's possible that only certain effects could be generating this strange delayed effect depending on how they handle mono material in cakewalk? I've been toggling any mono track to stereo and back to mono and then saving the project. Then the project is normal and as it should be.

Curious if anyone is seeing this issue or if it possibly comes down to certain VST effects making Sonar Platinum think that a track should be stereo instead of mono?

Any easy test would be to open X2 or X3 and take a mono audio track with a mono audio clip. Put a VST on the track... say an EQ or compression with some extreme settings and save the file. Now open the file in Platinum and see if the EQ or compression isn't only effecting the left side of the audio. Toggle the mono/stereo interleave on and off if you are hearing issues to see if that fixes it.

Let me know and thanks to anyone who takes the time to check this out!
