Intermediate Course Topics
Hey guys! I am working on some educational material for Sonar Platinum. It is an intermediate Course aimed at someone who knows the basics but wants to further their knowledge. I am looking for some feedback on what you guys would like to see. What kind of things should be included at the intermediate level, and what do you want to learn? Thanks in advance. I look forward to your suggestions!
P.S. If your curious, this is me. I do a lot of sonar stuff on my channel.

Hey Dave, I've seen some of your videos and they are good. You need to have 10+ posts before you can post links on this forum (to prevent new member spammers) But I'll embed one your videos in this post to give users an idea of your videos.
Personally I'd like to see more videos on the Drum replacer and Aligning multitrack drums using Autosnap.

I could never do a tutorial video. Camera shy and I tend to do things in a weird. I use a lot of shortcuts.

+1 here. Being a Drummer myself, I have never used the "Drum Replacer". Afraid I would disappear!

I didn't know about the embed requirement. Thank you for letting me know! Also, drum replacer and audio snap are on the list already so I am on the right track. Thanks for the input, I'm glad you like my stuff as well!

dvallesv2, I apologize in advance because I haven't checked out your videos prior to posting my suggestion so if you already work this way, good for you. My suggestion is to make sure you concentrate on using features and tools available across ALL Sonar product levels. Here is a pretty comprehensive list: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Versions. For example demonstrating equalization using mix strip or prochannel components isn't realistic because only Home Studio and Artist have Mix Strip while Professional and Platinum offer ProChannel. As another example a video highlighting Setting up and using Ultra Analog Session 2 will only interest Platinum owners. So my suggestion is to be aware of the edition limitations.

Great job on those videos! You're a natural presenter. Turns out I have seen your videos before, as I just discovered after pulling one up and noticing that I'd already flagged it as a LIKE. I guess I was already a fan and just forgot. I'll second the suggestion for drum substitution. I suspect a lot of beginners are intimidated by it, although probably not for the reason patm300e gave. No drummers will be harmed, promise. CW, IIRC, has already covered the topic but there's always more you can say about it, e.g. layering samples over drums rather than replacing them or substituting non-drum samples.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Great video, Dave! I usually find keyboard shortcuts from when they are referenced on the menus. But of course, Snap on/off was never on the menus. Thanks for the "N" shortcut - always wanted that!

We have an area for Sonar users and forum members who create their own content whether it's a video, plugin a program whatever. When you can post links use this thread to place links to your videos. Just add a single line description so that folks get an idea of a video co tent without having to watch it all. Thanks. http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3641750

The post was looking for feedback on topics for a sonar course. It was not intended to show off that video. Thank you for the tip though.
