"Cakewalk’s first sequencer experience was the Voyetra Sequencer Plus for DOS."

    Typo?

I know some are STILL using this...

I think that was their FIRST EXPERIENCE of a sequencer...not that Cakewalk was the creator/programmer...
someone at Cake might have been involved....back in '75....

Voyetra was founded in 1975 by Carmine J. Bonanno, an industry expert and pioneer in music synthesis and PC multimedia sound technology. From 1975-79, as Octave Electronics, Inc., the company designed, manufactured and marketed analog music synthesizers, competing with Moog and ARP, the industry leaders at that time. In 1979, Octave merged with Plateau Electronics, a leading NY-based synthesizer repair facility. The company was renamed Octave-Plateau Electronics, Inc. In addition to manufacturing music synthesizers, Octave-Plateau became a well-known synthesizer repair facility, servicing professional musicians and recording studios in the New York City metropolitan area.

Voyetra SP was my 2nd (and longest used) sequencer before I got into computer based audio recording.

Funny thing I started with Cake PA 4 and kept up to date with all but one verison even though I did not start using SONAR until 7.

Do I get an award for that?

IIRC, Cakewalk for DOS and Voyetra Sequencer Plus for DOS were both released in 1987.

My guess is that the typo would be fixed like this:

"Cakewalk’s current CEO's first sequencer experience was the Voyetra Sequencer Plus for DOS."

I would say that's probably an accurate assessment Mike...
