    Think of it as a virtual "Mackie Control" combined with a large multi-touch screen and analog monitoring section.
    Since it's a virtual controller (software), it should be relatively easy for Slate to make it compatible with all major DAW software.  Obviously, the preview was showing ProTools.

    I'm sure the unit is expensive... 
    The target market isn't a typical home project studio.
