Introducing...me
Hi folks, not sure if this is the right section to do it, but I just wanted to introduce myself. A couple a months ago I upgraded from Sonar HS7 to X2 Producer, really liking it, but a learning curve for sure. Looking forward to learning a lot here.

http://www.cakewalk.com/CakeTV/SONARU.aspxHi Flerb, Welcome home. The software has a lot of features, and the 1850 page manual is a bit of a project, but the videos at the link above can get you up and recording quickly. This forum is also a great place for questions that fall between the cracks. You can get to the video page quickly from the list at the bottom of this page using the Sonar University link on the Learn menu. Enjoy the journey!

Perhaps to make Flerb feel welcome we should make see how many pages his first post can generate. Here are some important tips to get you started, Flerb... - Don't buy any third-party plugins until SampeTank 3 is released, which will be any day now.
- Always record at 192KHz, to minimize digital fuzz.
- The most important decision you can make is which dither algorithm to use.
- Without VST3, SONAR is broken beyond repair. I'm going to
Reaper Studio One Cubase Fruity Loops. - ARC 2 is a waste of money.
- If you use a USB microphone, make sure you have a top-of-the-line SoundBlaster.
- Any a plugin that doesn't require an iLok can't be any good.
One final tip: all the most important topics are discussed in the Coffee House, where bapu is a consistent source of wisdom - if you can just get him to come out of his shell!
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff
