Invisible Tracks

Sometimes I think Cakewalk is just messing with me.

In one of the rare times that I use Multiple tracks for a project, I accidentally double clicked one of the tracks. It zoomed all the way in so that the one track was all I could see in track view. However, when I zoomed out, the other tracks had gone invisible. It was only track four, and no scrolling would bring back 1, 2, or 3... I can hear them when I play it... But I've been toying with it for hours trying to get them back. Any thoughts?

Click M on the computer keyboard. That brings up the Track Manager from which you can show the tracks you want.

    Hey, Greg...

I appreciate the help. M on my keyboard inserts a marker. I've looked through the help menu and can't find a track manager option. I'll keep looking though.

I wasn't using MC6 Touch, but I own it, so I opened it in Touch and tried that. Shift H worked... I then saved it and opened it up in MC6 again... all tracks present and accounted for. Thanks. Though I do wish there was a good way to do it in MC6.

But mostly I hope to never get this problem again. Lol... thanks guys.

I am sure that MC6 has a similar function, if it hides tracks, it has to be able to unhide them. I don't have either product and rely on the web based help to verify my suggested solutions.

I can confirm that Shift-H does NOT work on MC6... but did work on Touch. But I may go through my keybindings on Touch and see if there's a similar one in the keybindings on MC6.

Try dragging the project file from the browser into a blank project. This should make all the tracks re-appear.

There's no Track Manager in MC6T as that's one of the fenced features from SONAR. We do this since track counts are limited in MC6T and the Track Manager seems to cause more problems than solve to the majority of new users. If you can replicate what happened please log it here: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx

    Best Regards,
    Seth
