Invitation to Beta Test a new VST Plugin...
I would appreciate it if a few people would try out my new MIDI sequencer VST plugin. Please go to
www.mandelbrotdrummer.com
for the download. This first version is Windows 32-bit only.

Is the premise that the Mandelbrot values will provide some form of structure to what might otherwise be regarded as random and automatic changes in midi velocity?
Do the Mandelbrot values also relate to any opportunity to automatically alter the timing as well?
best regards,
mike

"Is the premise that the Mandelbrot values will provide some form of structure to what might otherwise be regarded as random and automatic changes in midi velocity?" Yes, essentially that's the idea. "Do the Mandelbrot values also relate to any opportunity to automatically alter the timing as well?" No, except that when you lay a sequence of hits across a fractal some of the hits might be very quiet or completely silent which completely changes the perception of how the hits are grouped and where the stresses lie. "Are there any audio demos of just what this bad boy will do??" It only produces MIDI so I have been wondering how I might illustrate what it does in audio. I think I will try to do some clips, each starting with a pattern of hits played at constant velocity, followed by the same pattern laid over different fractals. Work in progress... "It's 32 bit. I am out." 64-bit version now included.
