Ipswich + insert automation snapshot value [Solved]

A new issue I'm having with Ipswich.

Using TV & on an audio track with existing volume nodes:
I inserted a volume node via volume automation snapshot+ rt click & it inserts the existing node value already present.
It does insert the correct value when there aren't any previous automation/ nodes on the audio track.

I just tried turning OFF the Read Automation button & it inserted the corrected selected value.
This is new behavior in the version. I never had to turn Read Enable off to edit any automation before.

Are you absolutely sure? I just tried your scenario in both X3 and in Cambridge, and the behavior is the same as what you describe. It seems logical to me; if Read is enabled, you're giving SONAR an automation value, which it will prioritize over the current control setting. If you tell it not to read, then SONAR doesn't know what the current automation value is, so when you right-click and tell SONAR to write an automation node, then it will pick up the control setting.

I could always enter any automation node in a track by (select/ move slider value, rt+click+snapshot) without first having to disable the Read automation buttons first.
Now when I do it the slider's value isn't inserted, the node value  already in the automation is inserted.
If there isn't any automation on the track it works correctly as always did before (either with the Read button on/ off ) & the correct slider value selected is inserted.

    Craig,

I think I see what's up. You can't add a different snapshot value BEFORE an existing automation node without disabling the Automation Read button, but you can add them AFTER an existing node on the track with the Read button either on or off.
I'll mark this solved, call it use error.

    Thanks
