Irish Traditional- Road To Lisdoonvarna

Played this on Mandola, acoustic 6 string guitar and bouzouki. This is the first one I learned playing sessions with the guys out my way. I decided to change it in the middle with an additional part to beak it up slightly since any place I've heard it played it was combined with one or two more reels or jigs, Additional parts were added to the basic acoustic parts.

It's certainly a lovely beginning!   Here are a couple of hopefully constructively critical remarks:

The shift to second material didn't suit my taste somehow, though it was still mixed well  - the opening had plenty of material for more length.  Later, the constant doubling of melodic lines got old for me.

But I'm approaching the sound from classical orchestration point of view, so take all with a grain of salt.

Bert Guy, from the O'Dougherty clan, here.
Yeah, this is really good, the real deal with well recorded acoustic instraments and a nice (flautistic) middle eight.
I like the drone of the instramentation.

    Cheers,

    Excellently executed.

Ah lisdoonvarna, not too far from the cliffs of Moher, the folk song made famous by Christy Moore.

    Well done,

As I wrote on SC, it sounds very authentic IMO.   Clear mix and the instrumentation and performance are so nicely organic.

Tim, Sounds like a song you would want to be skipping down the road and swinging your arms back and forth. The only problem I have with this piece is I can't skip!! HA! Nicely done!!

You do seem to have found a theme that suits your thing, nicely done as always Tim, not much if anything to fault with this.
