Iron Maiden coming in July!
So, two years ago I told my son that if the Scorpions came back to the US, we'd go see them somewhere. They did, and we did. We flew out to Colorado, rented a Mustang convertible, and saw them in a 6,000 seat open air amphitheater. It was a great trip and one I think he'll remember long after I'm gone!
After that, I made the same promise for Iron Maiden. They just announced US tour dates and wouldn't you know it they are playing an arena just 10 minutes from my son's dorm (which is about 50 minutes from me)!
SUPER EXCITED!
I saw them on the Somewhere in Time tour and my son has never seen them, so this will be a great (and relatively cheaper) night!

The Youtube stuff I saw of a 2015 (iic) gig, Bruce Dickinson still jumping around like he's 18...amazing.

As with most singers, it's the singing I'm worried about. Saw KISS 2 few years ago. Visually, it was as stunning as you'd expect a KISS show to be. Paul Stanley was still jumping around, prancing, entertaining the crowd and all. The vocals, though... I say this as a huge fan of KISS and Paul Stanley: it was embarrassing.

I'm trying to see all of my favorite bands while I can. I agree about Kiss though - saw them last year and the voice was definitely just not what it was. I appreciate them doing their thing though, and not using backing tracks...
