Is IK Multimedia Ampeg SVX native x64 yet?
Qu as in thread title.
I am considering purchasing this boxed from DV @ £71 and am wondering if it is native x64.
If it is native x86 out of the box but an update to x64 is available, what is the process for getting the x64 version?
I want to know all this before I drop for a plug that needs to be bridged.

If you install Amplitube 3.5 Free, I believe you should be able to open the Ampeg components.
Thus, it would essentially be an x64 version...

Yup @ Jim Roseberry is right. Download AmpliTube 3 FREE and you will be able to open Ampeg SVX inside and have full 64 bit compatibility.

I installed Ampeg SVX 1.1.3 and AmplTube Free 3.5.2 and X-gear 1.5.1 but in the AmpliTube installer the file size of VST 64 did not show and no dll was imstalled in the specified VST folder. Only the x86 plug has installed and scanned.
Where do I get the VST64 of AmpliTube free?

You select which versions to install in the installation process. Try installing it again.

I have tried installing twice and each time when I get to the 'do i want to install the x86 VSt, the x64 VSt or the RTAS version' file sizes are reported against the x86 and the RTAS version but not the x64 version. i select the x64 version and the C:\Programs\Cakewalk\Vstplugins folder and no dll is written to the folder.

The archived AmpliTube 3.5.2 Free file that I downloaded is 226 MB (237,704,866 bytes) and the installer installs the x86 VST OK......if that's any help

Twigman, I went through the beginning of the install process just to compare screens, and I get the exact same screen as you, and yes the size of the 64-bit VST plugin is blank, so that in itself does not appear to be part of the problem because both my 32-bit and 64-bit plugins installed ok. There might be a bug in the AT3 free version, tho. (I have the full version).

IK Multimedia suggested I run as Administrator.
I already was, I only ever install software running as administrator.
and then they closed my ticket!!

Finally got it installed.
I have no clue what the problem was - perhaps it was running it from inside the archive that stopped it (but it didn't alter the x86 install).
I had installed the x86 plug, the Ampeg SVX update and X-Gear running directly in the archive with no problems.
Once I'd unpacked the archive first and then run the installer, it succeeded in installing the x64 VST.
There is no user manual with the AmplitudeFree3.5.2, how do you open Ampeg SVX inside AmplitubeFree?

The Ampeg presets and gear should be found in the pulldown menus within the AmpliTube UI. In the full version, the Ampeg presets are in the Collections folder in the presets pulldown menu. The Ampeg gear is in the Ampeg folders in the stomp, amp and cab pulldown menus. On first use, you may need to go into the Custom Shop account section and click on 'Restore My Gear' before you see the stuff you've already paid for. There's a Custom Shop link in the top right corner of the AmpliTube UI. The Custom Shop account login is the same as your IK Multimedia account.
