Is MC Pro compatible with Windows 7 ?
Hello all , It's been a long time since I been here at the forum. I have installed Music Creator Pro onto my desk top with no problems. I used to have it on my old PC with the Windows XP but it has been recently retired. Anyway , when I tried to start it up and try to create a new project I noticed that I do not have any Input or Output on the tracks. So I went to Audio options to locate and check for drivers. But none were listed there. I looked at the sound devices on the computer systems and see them there so why isn't it in the MCPro? Weird I think! Anyway I hope this is an easy fix. Your help will be much appreciated. HP Pavillon P6000 series , AMD Athlon II 640 Quad Core Processor , 4 Gig DDR3 memory , 1 Terabite Hard Drive , Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium Behringer Eurorack UB802 , Realtek High Definition Audio , set at WDN/KS
MCPro24 , Sonar 4.0.4 Studio, HP Compac Presario laptop ,Widows Vista - 32 bit O.S, Conexant Hi-Def Smart Audio , Tascam US-122 , 2 gig ram , 200 gig hard drive ,Intel Pentium Dual core. http://members.soundclick.com/Fixerman

Thanks, Bob. I haven't loaded my copy Of MCP 24 on my new Win 7 computer yet. SONAR HS 6 seems to work great, though. I assume this is a 64-bit machine? If so, try right-clicking on the MC icon and set it to run in compatibility mode for... whatever may be listed that's 32-bit. Maybe do the same for the executable file on the hard drive. And set it to Run As Administrator, too. I'm not saying these steps will work, but you never know. Your DX effects and instruments in Pro 24 will not work at all on a 64-bit OS, so no Edirol VSC, if you use that synth much, but I run my SHS 6 as a 32-bit app, and they do work that way. I might load it up tonight and see what happens.

Sorry, Greg. You're the only one I know of that has MCP and W7. I wasn't sure if you had installed it or not.

No joy on the audio. MIDI works fine, all other functions work, but can't get the soundcard recognized. Probably that aud.ini thing. More research! Funny, when loading it, I saw Edirol VSC on the list of items to install, but it's not on the Insert menu, but DreamStation DXi is, as well as the synths that come with SHS 6. Wonder where it went?

The computer did every thing for me! Amazing!!! You rock dude, Thanks. Tomorrow I'll try some actual recording and test it all out. Too late for me to do it now, lol , it's bed time.
