Is There a Shortcut for "Bypass All FX"?
I must be accidentally hitting it... Something I never use intentionally (yet?), but I keep finding it turned on... I looked for a shortcut to see if it's key is near anything I was doing (on the keyboard), but I couldn't find it in the shortcuts list... Maybe it's performing abnormally? (turning itself on/bypass?) Keni

Hey Keni - According to Garrigus, To bypass all FX bins in a project, click the FX button in Mix module of control bar, or, get this, press "E" Brian

It's the E key and was the first key I unbound because it's absolutely annoying. I have no clue why you'd want this ability on "quick fire". If you ever needed to bypass effect, just click the button in the tool bar. I guess if you have a feed loop or glitch which would destroy your monitors and ears, which has happened to me, this might be nice, but it's not as nice as just muting my monitors (I have a button about a foot away)

Aha! Thanks Everyone... I too will unbind that shortcut... I do remember accidentally hitting the E instead of R while my hands were full of guitar (recording)... I didn't notice the FX button light up at that time... Keni

<d@mn> I located the E and it's associated binding, clicked on unbind... which of course didn't change anything, so I re-started Sonar and it no longer reports that as bound... But get this... the E key is STILL toggling the FX bypass (yes, I double checked and it is currently "unassigned"... Keni

I take that back... It is once again showing as bound? I'm gonna repeat this, but I've got a feeling something else is "wrong" here...

Yeah, I said unbound, but I really meant "rebound". I don't even know what I put it too off the top of my head, but it's not that infernal default option ;)

garrigus Keni, You can't unbind default bindings. You can either assign them to some other function or assign them to this function: Do Nothing. That can be found in the Global Bindings list. Do Nothing as opposed to unbinding I mean. : ) Brian

Is that actually written somewhere? (Other than in YOUR book?) ... I mean about the inability to unbind defaults? I've set it as you suggested and all is well in the new idiot proofed R button (I say that as I'll bet I've been hitting that E accidentally more often than I care to think... ;-)) Keni
