Is a sound quilt REALLY that important?

Or can I just use egg crates?

You larf but I'd LOVE to have a cache of moving/"sound" blankets. Not because I think it will make anything sound better but to drown out my caterwauling so I don't get stabbed by a disgruntled neighbor.

Even better would be a big roll of "Film Black". That thick textured material they hang around film sets to block out sound and unwanted light.

Then I can ensconce myself my apartment in velvet film black.

That photo was hung in the bathroom associated with the green room in a local club.  Whenever I played there, and its been awhile, I was unsure as to what to  do when I used the facilities, and I know it affected my playing.

I think egg cartons are a fire code violation.

You could always buy a large bucket of Green Glue and just smear it all over your walls. Pretty sure that's how it works....

I prefer sound quality from my long Johns. If I need a quilt  then it's too late and means I Am already cold
