I's can sing! I's can sing!!

Well,
For those of you may not know or more bluntly don't care six weeks ago I had the misfortune of fracturing my jaw while eating dry roasted almonds.  This was due to my recent surgery of having some severly impacted wisdom teeth removed.

So, after not being able to celebrate my 44th b-day July 22 (no cake), and NOT bieing able to take my wife out for dinner on our 18th wedding anniversary Aug 8, they have finally freed Willy!  Yesterday afternoon my oral surgeon cut me loose.  And boy what a feeling that was.  They were kind enough to let me brush me teeth but after 6 weeks it took everything I could muster to slowly open my mouth wide enough to get a toothbrush in there.  Whew!

I have very limited mobility.  I really can't move my jaw from side to side or from back to front.  So hopefully within a week or so I'll be back to normal.  I had my first real meal when I took my wife and daughter out for Italian food.  Delicious!

AND, best of all I got to once again play my sax.  I really contemplated what my 1st song should be and afer much deliberation I decided on the following.  Hope you like it!

Rich

Actually I was just thinking about you 10 minutes ago while making a fruit shake...and wondering when you were going to be set free.  :-)  So, congrats!!!  I can't imagine how great that must feel.

Go have that cake (I didn't know your b'day is the day after mine!) and celebrate that anniversary dinner and all that other good stuff.

    Great tune, too, btw. :-)

    Rich,

Needs a little more verb on the sax. The drums are lost in the mix. Maybe I could play the bass. No offence but that bass player lacks luster (was it Mooch?).

Last;y the song is just too dang long. Edit it down a bit please.

Glad to hear you're back on track my friend.

Hey, I was just thinking....if you can now sing just because your jaw was wired shut for 6 weeks...I might just try that.  It might be cheaper than voice lessons...faster, and a lot less practice.  I like fruit shakes anyway...

    Janet,
Thanks!  It does feel great.  As far as cake goes I think I'll be trying a Krispy kreme doughnut instead.  I'm salavating already.  As far as singing, I'm not sure how much it will help improve your singing but it will certainly help you drop 20 pounds real fast!  Baby food and Ensure!   Mmmmm!  mmmm!

@ bapu:  Thanks for the crit!  I should have known better than to let Mooch's fancy avatar influence me.  Turns out he's all bark and no bite!

@ ericyeoman:  lol!  yeah I have to try out one of my Rope-a-dope recipies on the grill

@ Beagle:  Thanks it's good to be back.  Can't wait to be back 100%.  I've been filling in on Bass guitar for a few friends at a couple of different churches.  Can't wait to be playing sax on Sunday's..   Whoooo Hooooo!!!

    Thanks everybody!

Glad you're back to playing.   I don't know what I'd do if I hurt myself enough to not be able to play...
