Is it possible to change the tempo on both midi and audio tracks at the same time in a project?
i am working on a project and im coming to find that i need t slow it down a bit but dont want to re-record all the audio tracks-guitar, bass, and lead. is there a way of slowing it all down without having to record all that stuff over again?

You would have to enable each audio track for looping. That way they will follow project tempo. Then change the project tempo. I'm not sure if there are any limitations to how long a loop can be. Depending on the differnce from the original tempo the audio tracks may sound really weird. The best way would be to rerecord unfortunatly.

Yes. Select everything (ctrl A) and then enable Audiosnap on all selected parts (just enable Audiosnap in the Audiosnap palette while the clips are selected). Then push the "autostretch" button in the Audiosnap palette. Type in a new tempo and there you go.

Then push the "autostretch" button in the Audiosnap palette. Type in a new tempo and there you go. And don't forget that to get the best quality "stretch", you need to bounce down the audio tracks so that SONAR will use a higher-quality "offline" stretching algorithm.

Wow, Brandon, sooooooo much easier then what I said. Guess I need to get caught up on my audio snap. But I'd still rerecord

when you're bouncing down the audio snap parts, don't forget to do them individually and select the correct algorythm for the type of audio. Especially bass parts.

Wow! Thanks "everyone" for your help! I can't believe it's that simple! I'm just returning to my studio, so I haven't actually tried this procedure yet. I'll return with the results as soon as I can. BTW, are there any youtube videos on this subject? Harpo

Its an awesome tool. 2 steps to change the whole project...

And it's cool there have been some other very good points in this thread regarding selecting the proper algo's on individual clips for final bounce - very important for final mixdown/delivery.
