Is it possible to move tempo when moving notes?

In Sonar 8, is it possible to move tempo along with note?
Say I have made a bunch of minute tempo edits from measures 8 through 12 to get an orchestral performance just right. I then need to move the notes in measure 8 to 12 back 6 measures. The tempo edits I made do not shift with the notes. Is it possible to get around this?

Thanks,
Mahlon

One thing you could try would be to INSERT TIME/MEASURES. You could choose a point before the tempo changes and insert 6 measures and enabling ONLY Slide Tempo Changes.

    Thanks, I'll try that.

EDIT: That works for moving a tempo forward, but I'm not finding a way to move the tempo back in time.

Ah, OK. I misunderstood the meaning of back 6 measures. So you want the Tempo Changes starting in measure 8 to start in measure 2? I think you can do what you want by using delete. With Snap to Grid set to Measure, select the region between the beginning of measure 2 and the end of measure 8. Go to Edit>Delete. In the Delete properties box that opens, enable only Delete Tempo Changes and Delete Hole. Press OK. This should move all tempo changes after the selected area towards measure 1. It will also delete any Tempo changes in bars 2 to 8.

Enabling Shift by Whole Measures shouldn't make any difference if you selected the region with the Snap to Grid set to Measure.

Thanks, that sounds like it will work fine. I'm not at my desk until tonight, but will try it then.

I wish there was a way to just copy and past tempo. I just posted in another thread which you responded to about tempo, so sorry to post this twice. I'd love Sonar to be a little more "composer" friendly (in the scoring to picture sense).

I was just fiddling around with the Tempo map and it turns out you can copy and paste Tempo changes. Just select a region of the Tempo map by clicking and dragging the Timeline where the measure numbers are. Go to Edit>Copy. In the box that opens enable only Tempo Changes. Ditto with Paste. Seems to work fine like that.

Ahhhh! Thank you so much. I didn't have the advanced tab open in paste when I was trying to do that.

    That's perfect.

    Thanks again,
