Is it possible to use comping on drum (multiple) tracks? Please say yes.

I want to group tracks in a way that i can just use comping in one track, let;s say in the overheads stereo track, and it will correspond in all the other tracks (snare, kik, toms, etc).   If i choose "take 3" in the OHs, all other drum tracks will follow that edit.

Right now, clip grouping is not working that way.  I have searched the forums and not found an answer.

What say ye?

If clips are grouped correctly then comping across multiple tracks should work. What is happening when you try that? Ideally takes are best grouped at the time of recording using Preferences--->Project---->Record---->Multi-track grouping set to  "Group all clips".

They can be grouped manually after the event but you'll need to select them manually each take at a time. Use the right click context menu "Create selection group from selected clips" to do that.

i grouped them manually after -the-fact and it worked as expected.
I was unaware of the multitrack settings in preferences so I THANK YOU, SIR!
Not sure how i have survived thus far without this knowledge.
    I'm rollin.
