Is it time yet?

..... for christmas music?

Seriously, I was riding in the car one night last week.... my wife and I were headed to town to grab a bite to eat and a christmas song comes on the radio...... WHAT? It's not even hello weenie time yet.

I do believe Lowes home supply has had the christmas yard decorations on display since the last week in August.

Are we really in that big of a rush?

All of these early shopping setups has killed my enjoyment of many holidays.  I don't want to hear about Christmas in September nor do I need to hear about Easter in January (etc.).

It should be an interesting Christmas. 2012 and all. The display stores start even earlier.

I think anything before Thanksgiving is just wrong.
Been wrong for a long time.

It's all getting very confusing for me.
Jason comes down the chimney and carves the Easter Bunny for Thanksgiving dinner with a chainsaw.
And there are eggs hidden under the tree.
    Trick or treat. Merry Visa.

As a kid I remember that the count down to Christmas began AFTER Thanksgiving was done..... and the stores started to decorate and the town were putting up the lights on the streets......

The big count down was actually how many school days left until the Christmas break...... Christmas was the icing on the cake so to speak....
