Is "Ask Every Time" Edit Preference Broken ?

Hi Folks,

In X1 under Preferences->Customization->Editing , I have the "Replace Old with New"
radio button selected, and "Ask Every Time" checked.

If I drag a clip to another track, then I DO get the prompt dialog like I would expect asking me what I'd like to do.

However, if I select a track and use Right-Click "Edit->Copy", and then Right-Click "Edit->Paste",
there is NO confirmation dialog - it just pastes.

In 8.5.3, using the "Edit->Copy" / "Edit->Paste" brought up the dialog where you could make
any changes to how you wanted to paste the data, and that was controlled by the "Ask Every Time"
in the Edit Preferences.

Can anyone confirm this behavior in X1 ?.
Is this broken in X1 ?, or am I just doing something wrong and going slightly mad ?.

I confess, I do see the heading for the Editing customizations does say "Drag and Drop", and I can't see a separate
preference for "Copy 'n Paste".

Cheers - Cliff

In X1 "paste" is just "paste" without any options, you are not going mad.
What you are looking for is now called "paste special" and the keyboard short cut is "ctrl > alt > v".

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!
