Is the MP3 encoder already part of Sonar or do we still need to pay to unlock it?

I pad for MP3 encoder, but it is not in my Control Center. It shows in my user account. Do I need to download and run it or it already part of Sonar Platinum? Thank you.

Download the activation program from your account and run it.

What in the world? It asks me to what product I want to add MP3 encoding, and Sonar is not on the list. There is option "Any other Cakewalk Product", but if I select it, it says, "Install Cakewalk product first".

It could be the old mp3 encoder and not the mp3 activation program. Email account support to get the new activation program.

I used to have the old activation file from years ago and it did not work with the new version of sonar. For $8.00 or whatever the cost was I wasn't going to lose sleep over it and got the updated version. Definitely worth having.

After you unlock it the first time it should work every time you update Sonar. I remember I bought the key file y bank in Sonar 8 and I've never had to install it again.

Yes, once the mp3 activation program is run, all future version of SONAR on the PC have mp3 activated. Moreover, the mp3 license is a one time purchase. It does not matter which mp3 product is purchased, there is no need to pay the license fee again. Cakewalk will supply the appropriate program to enable mp3 encoding.
