Is there a 32-bit AND a 64-bit version of Lexicon Pantheon???

Lexicon Pantheon is a DX plugin, and there is an x64 version. It was not included with X1 for some (dumb) reason, so you have to have a previous version of SONAR new enough (I presume S5 or later) to have included the x64 version. Then you can do a Custom install of just Pantheon from that version. I still have it because I upgraded to X1 from 8.5.

If you don't have a release from S5 to S8, you'll have to talk to Cakewalk Support about how to obtain and install it. I don't know if it's possible to install a DX effect just by having the right DLL in the right place and registering it, but it might be.

I suspected it was just a difference of Sonar 3 having a 32-bit version and 8.5 a 64-bit one. I have put in an email request to Cakewalk to see if there's any way to get the 64-bit version.

codamedia, Sweetwater has been very good to me, given me stellar support, and the tech I work with is the best around.  I would absolutely recommend their services; however, this system was a bit of a journey.  As to why they installed 8.5:

I bought a lot at once: Creation Station rack-mount PC (64-bit), V-Studio 700 including Sonar X1, Vienna, Ivory, Fab Four, studio furniture, new MIDI interface, etc.  (Separately, I added new controllers, KRK monitors, some Big Fish samples, and other stuff.)  I paid Sweetwater to have everything installed and configured so I could plug it in and play.  Unfortunately, the person who did the first install was new in the job (no idea why they did that with such a complex system), and when I got it, it was a disaster.  After trying to fix things remotely for weeks, I ended up sending everything back and they had to start completely over.

The installer apparently already had 8.5 disks and thought that was the way to go, rather than ordering X1.  I assume they had a V-Studio bundle in stock.  I had to ask Sweetwater to work with Cakewalk to get me X1 disks and a manual after the fact, which they did.

This was a complete fiasco; however, Sweetwater has been great over the years and they bent over backwards to make this right, so I don't want to give anyone a bad impression.  They have been extremely responsive and the owner of the company got involved personally.  I am sure that when all was said and done, they lost money on this deal, but they did make it right.

Note that this was complicated by the fact that 64-bit was new so there was a real challenge getting my existing VIs (like RealGuitar and RealStrat) to work, and the Fantom synth built into the V-Studio gave us a lot of trouble in 64-bit.

Good news for future customers: Sweetwater has techs that now know X1 and 64-bit inside out.

DirectX instruments were developed by Cakewalk in co-operation with Microsoft, but CW have decided to drop it in favour of the universal VST standard, hence its absence in X1.  I reinstalled it from 8.5 as I like it, but I didn't think it was already 64 bit as stated above; how can I tell?

EDIT: Cakewalk's inability to provide a solution for X1 owners who don't have an earlier version that included the x64 DLL suggests to me that they are no longer paying a licensing fee to Lexicon, and therefore do not have the right to distribute new copies of the DLL.

It couldn't be that Lexicon have stopped endorsing the plugin in fear that it might hurt the high-end appeal of their new expensive line of plugin reverbs?
 
I certainly wouldn't pay $1000 for Lexicon PCM Native if I were under the impression that the algorithms were related to the Panthenon. Sound's like the built-in reverb on my 1990s Techics PCM keyboard, weird and grainy.
