Is there a Kaossilator plugin out there? or something similar?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a virtual Korg Kaossilator-esque synth (VST, DX, stand-alone, etc) that exists... My buddy was asking me, and I googled it with no success...

    Assuming you're talking about using an X-Y vector pad for automating effects.

    There is the Cakewalk Plasma FXPad (Free for registered SONAR users): http://www.cakewalk.com/products/plasma/plasmafxpad.asp

    Also, Rapture/Dimension have a vector pad built-in that can be automated.

    You could try SprectaFX which comes with Sonar.

    Is there a big difference between SpectraFX and Plasma FX?

    They are different in what they can do. Spectra FX has its stuff built in. The Plasma Pad I believe has the ability to control other plugins I think.

    if you had a games controller from a console that has the x-y controller thumb buttons, like xbox and 360 or others , ps2 etc..(+ the usb adaptor to make it work on a pc) people do some crazy stuff with the wii-mote you can use that to manipulate CC's.. hhmm obviously you'd not the display side of things.

    thats partly dependent on the synth it's controlling of course as well.
