Is there a way to "Lock" clips in time?

In other DAWs I've worked in, there is usually a way to lock a clip so that it cannot be moved left/right (such as to prevent from moving those perfectly synce'd doubled tracked clips from accidentally getting nudged). I don't see such a thing in Sonar 5 (Pro). I would also love to have a "temporary" time lock feature whle dragging a clip up/down between tracks, such as a modifier key to hold down while dragging where it allows the clip to be moved up/down to another track, but does not allow it to move left/right in time during the drag. This is quite handy for comping tracks - any way to do this?
Thanks!

Doh! I just realized shift drag locks the clip in time while dragging (I swear I tried that earlier!) Still looking for a "Lock clip" command to keep it locked in time though. Thanks

    Not a perfect solution:

    Ctrl-A (select all)
Drag the left edge of the clip that is furthest along on the time-line to the start.

This will set the left edge of all of the selected clips to the start. You will no longer be able to drag these clips left.

Sonar 6 has a Lock Clips to SMPTE feature. Several of us (mostly folks who work with projects scoring to and doing sound design for video) have been screaming for this feature for some time. I can't wait to receive my upgrade copy of S6 to have access to this feature. (I crossed my fingers and bought the S5 + S6 combo upgrade before the S6 feature list was released. Finding this feature in the list was one of the best days of my life as DAW purchases go. )
