There is no Easy button in Cakewalk's products. They've gone a different route. Simply purchase the hardware expansion pack and turn 'Suck' to 0.

The easy button is the RECORD button. Make sure stuff sounds killer on the way in and mixing is pretty dang easy.

amiller EZMIX - Toontrack http://www.toontrack.com/products.asp?item=135 It may be heresy on these forums, but I agree. I have demo-ed EZMix and was really impressed with the results. If you're not into fine tuning and just want to get musical ideas down without wanting to learn mixing etc, I think it gives great results. You often wish you had more chance to tweak, but if all you're interested is in the music rather than the production side, it is an easy way to get good results quickly. Or EZily.. Some of the presets are very good.

My easy button is called James Yoyo, or TIMIDI :-) However, in fairness, I think they both may use that Danny button from time to time...

Hahaha, nah, neither have ever called on me for anything. Both are class acts that are fine without addtional help from anyone. :) I was just trying to make people laugh with the Danny button. :) -Danny

Well, I know there are people who call on you, and that you have been very kind and giving with your time and expertise. Again, I for one? Am not, and unfortunately never will be the mix guru? Nor will I ever be as proficient on any instrument as are you on the guitar, or as others are on their instruments (Scottytunes... and others.) Some people just have a God given talent which they have also honed, and all others (mortals) can do is enjoy and admire it... However, this is my passion! And other than time spent with my son? THIS, this stuff is what makes me happy? And at the end of the year, when I look back on it? I look back on the music I was able to create, contribute to, or influence... I know that most others here feel the same way about this.

Well Robby - I can practice a guitar for 12 hours a day and be good but no matter how much singing I do I will always suck. So luckily for you, God gave you some incredible talent for us mortals to admire also :)

THIS, this stuff is what makes me happy? And at the end of the year, when I look back on it? I look back on the music I was able to create, contribute to, or influence... I know that most others here feel the same way about this. Thanks, I try to do what I can for people. If I can make a difference for a few, that's enough for me. Well, don't sell yourself short. You have to take a few things into consideration. Some guys live for this stuff...others, have more important priorities that need attention. You know...family, kids, jobs....so those people are just about always going to have a disadvantage due to life demanding more of their time. A guy like me has no other life other than music and taking care of my father and my friends. So that leaves me more time to get better at things than other people. This is also my living, so I get to spend more time doing it. Not everyone needs to be a guru. At the end of the day, it's all about self satisfaction really and getting your ideas out. You do well with the stuff I've heard and are gifted with something not everyone has. And that is...a voice that can do just about any style. The singer in my opinion, will always be the most important factor in a band. All my life I have always received compliments like "dude, you were really good...and your band was killer too....but I'm sorry to say it, your singer sucked." It definitely makes or breaks a band. There are loads of bands I listen to where I have to do my best to just ignore the singer. It's a shame too because some of the bands that are in these situations are mind-blowing players. You just keep doing what you do and enjoy it man. If you got friends that help you with certain areas, so be it. If you just deliver the goods as a kiler singer with consistent results all the time...that's still a gift. If you can play a little guitar, sing, write a few little tunes and get decent results on your own...you're gifted. Sure, Yo Yo may make your stuff sound 1000 percent better in your eyes...but your ideas and gifts are still there and need to be embraced and appreciated. So don't sell yourself short man....you always do a great job on the stuff you participate in and share. :) Just keep on enjoying it and being you. -Danny
