Issue with 2 audio interfaces (POD X3 and PCIe interface)

I have an issue with my current setup.
I've built my i7 920 DAW and it works (mostly) perfect.

I have a Egosys ESI 1010e audio interface, works quite good. I have 2,2ms latency at 128 samples - and it is stable.

The issue is when I power up my Line6 Pod X3, which is connected by USB also.
(this is for controlling issues, and I have to use this also for authenticating the POD FARM2 VST plug-in)
When the POD is connected - the audio is "corrupted" and really sounds strange. Like a "underwater" effect or something.

Also:
- the POD is "unchecked" in the Sonar audio view.
- POD is not set as Windows interface (also tried to disable)
- I have tried both ASIO and WDM drivers.
- The audio is transferred from the X3 via SPDIF to the ESI audio interface.

Anyone have a clue?

Nahhh.... Forget it....

I changed the audio interface PCIe slot, and "wham" (or is it "bam"?) there it works flawlessly.

Double check the sample rate the POD can do, make sure your project is that sample rate.  For example I think the POD can do 44.1 or 48k. Verify what it's set to and set your project to match. The next problem is getting the ESI to use that clock. The only way to do it is connect the SPDIF out of the POD to the ESI and set the ESI to get clock from the SPDIF input.  Line 6 doesn't put clock in connections on their stuff.

Note: You will also have to use WDM, ASIO can't have two drivers at once.

Thanks Frank - I set the POD and ESI both to 48k, and it also works perfectly now.

I have to check how I get the ESI to get the clock from the SPDIF input, but I think that is possible in the mixer (Internal/external clock)
