Issue with latest Bandlab update today (ver. 3.2.0)

When opening bandlab assistant today I was asked to update to version 3.2.0.  I performed the update
and am now getting a javascript error when opening bandlab assistant. It allows me to click ok and go foward to
open up Sonar.

As a side note Sonar has been opening up very slowly since the last couple of updates.

Anyone else seeing this?

Well....let me rephrase the question. Did anyone else receive the update today? Ver. 3.2.0

just updated to v3.2.0
no problem experienced here
this version appears to address the busy condition when BA receives focus

maybe a fresh install of BA will fix the problem you are experiencing

My update went smoothly this time but I've encountered stuff like this in the past.

Uninstall BA, then go grab a fresh installer from the Bandlab site and put it in from scratch. You may need to reboot as well. That should fix it.

Tried to install the update here through BA and got my usual problem.

It uninstalls the old version and then I get:

So it doesn't go any further and leaves me with no Bandlab Assistant installed.

I then manually download the latest version and install it and all is fine. Annoying.

CbB startup speed is fine but I am still running 2018.05 build 19 as the last update was minor and of no interest (Japanese language update I think).

Just updated, no problems. Download was a bit slow at first, but that doesn't really matter.

I haven't done ANY updates since last November.

Bandlab seems to me like a totally separate product with a totally separate use than Sonar. I want updates to the Sonar operational programming and VST's, not updates to a web-sharing platform.

Am I off base here?

If you mean Cakewalk by Bandlab, then yes you are off base. IOW, Cakewalk by Bandlab is effectively SONAR Platinum's next release level. But it just does not yet contain all the (paid for) PC modules and/or add on products. They are working on that.

Bandlab the site is indeed something else entirely.

If you own SONAR it will behoove you to create a Bandab account with the same email as your cakewalk store account. That way when they (Bandlab) work out all the additional PC modules and content you will be able to get them from the Bandlab Assistant. One day the CCC will become obsolete.

Your version of Sonar will NEVER be updated.

The only way forward to take advantage of new features, updates & bug fixes is via the CdB route.

I got the error.  Had to uninstall BandLab Assistant and install an older version.

Bandlab assistant has been just sitting, twiddling, some sort of petite mal type of seizure activity when I have opened it over the last few days. Perhaps the 'Vegas' mode on my LaunchControl induces that behavior.   Wouldn't close except by rebooting the computer.  Downloaded the latest 3.2 version and it started acting normally again.  Here is the link if anyone else needs it:

I tried updating today, and I got the same error re: Java script. Is this because I don't have Java on my computer?

Thanks scook, that put me on the right track. A little research brought me to an article re: enabling javascript in Internet Explorer. I found that it was already enabled. However, I reset my internet security zone setting to default. I was then able to complete the download and it installed with no trouble. The colors are great, and it's so nice to see the note values in staff view again!

Can't say for sure that resetting the  internet security zone setting to default did the trick, but it may be worth keeping in mind.

Same problem here. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest Bandlab Assistant. However I get the same result. Latest Cakewalk downloads but doesn't install, and on opening Assistant I get the Java error. Any suggestions?

The JavaScript error message is back after the latest update. Annoying, but it doesn't keep me from working on projects.

Like Fireberd I got round the problem by uninstalling the latest Bandlab Assistant and installing an older version. The latest Cakewalk update then downloaded and installed without any problems.
