Issues with Mio to Sonar

Hi all, i'm forced to do a system change due to my older computer crashing. I recently bought the latest Sonar home studio and cannot get it to communicate between my Korg Triton & the Mio midi interface I purchased. Any advice, direction or solutions?
Thanks!

First did you install the midi drivers for the Mio
    https://www.iconnectivity.com/windows-drivers

Then go into Sonars Preferences  MIDI/DEVICES and make sure it shows and is checked as the input and output.

I downloaded the drivers and still no sound or track changes to appropriate instruments. it's like it needs  to know what keyboard its talking to but I cant find an area in sonar that asks for it. Also, the box for the mio said "no drivers nedded, just plug in and play. Very confused.
